Home to the Jane Douglas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, this landmark building first opened its doors in 1936 at the Texas Centennial Exposition. Visitors learn about history, conservation, literacy, and genealogy through exhibits, artifacts, posters, brochures, flag displays, patriotic videos and music. The museum’s featured exhibit will be “Our Founding Fathers.” This will focus on George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, James Monroe, John Jay, Patrick Henry, John Hancock and Thomas Paine. Be sure to visit us and learn new and interesting facts about how these men defied a king, fought and won the Revolutionary War, crafted a new government, and discover the strong women in their lives who stood with them to forge the United States of America
