HOW TO REGISTER
The Creative Arts’ Youth Contests are the perfect way for your youngsters to share their Lone Star State spirit at the Fair. Should they choose to be a creator of fine art, snap the perfect photo, or maybe they want to get crafty with their hands, there are plenty of contests just for them!
Youth Contests At-A-Glance
Though kiddos over the age of six can compete in any of the Arts & Crafts contests, most departments do have dedicated categories for children (6-12 years old) and juniors (13-17 years old). Get ready for a mix of fun, these competitions will not disappoint!

Want to try your hand at cooking?
Fair fans of ALL ages and skill levels can enter the Cooking Contests at the State Fair of Texas! The Fair has designated special categories for those ages 17 and under in our Youth Cooking Contest.
