Clay shooting translates into scholarships at the Big Tex Clay Shoot Classic. Teams of clay shoot enthusiasts gather in North Texas to compete for first place and bragging rights. One hundred percent of the money given to and raised at this event goes to support the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and Scholarship Program. This program supports students from across the state, including those attending one of six area high schools surrounding Fair Park.
In 2024, the Big Tex Clay Shoot Classic broke an all-time fundraising record as teams gathered and competed in the friendly tournament at the Dallas Gun Club. A record-breaking $322,585 was raised, with all the proceeds going towards the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and Scholarship Program.
