This annual training introduces educators to the concept of the State Fair as a learning tool for TEKS based curriculum – because learning happens everywhere! New for 2018, training content will include Fair Park institutions, museums and historical organizations that will offer exhibits and programming during the State Fair of Texas, providing an even richer variety of educational content for teachers to implement in their classrooms. We are pleased to again partner with Big Thought on our school curriculum which will be reviewed during training.
Teacher Training is on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at the Briscoe Carpenter Livestock Center Building on 1403 Washington Street.
Directions and Parking: The Briscoe Building is on the State Fair of Texas fairground. From I-30, take exit 48 A Haskell Avenue, make a right onto Parry Street, and follow the State Fair GATE 3 signs, next to the Fair Park DART Station. Upon entering GATE 3, proceed down Washington Street until you reach the Briscoe Building. You may park in the circle or in the parking spaces adjacent to the building.
Times for each grade level is listed below.
Grades 4-8 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Grades 9-12 from 1 – 4 p.m.
