Katy Gallimore – Social Media & Content Coordinator
Katy is a graduate of Sam Houston State University, with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising. Additionally, this past April, she earned her master’s in mass communication, with a focus on digital strategy, from the University of Florida. As the Social Media & Content Coordinator, Katy is responsible for the content creation and management of all State Fair of Texas social media channels. Additionally, she works with the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Creative Director to coordinate content development, assist with media plan(s), and any other marketing projects or initiatives. “Managing the socials gives me an organic glimpse into how fairgoers enjoy their trip to the State Fair. There is nothing like seeing the posts of a family’s first trip, or their 20th, to the State Fair of Texas,” said Gallimore. “I also love engaging with our fairgoers and finding fun ways to creatively highlight the fun of the fair. It’s truly one of the most fun and rewarding jobs.” Find some of Katy’s favorite social media posts below!
Emmanuel Ramirez – Production Coordinator
Emmanuel earned his bachelor’s degree in Radio-Television-Film Production from the University of Texas at Austin. As the Production Coordinator, Emmanuel’s primary role is to capture footage of the Fair and produce promotional videos/content for the Fair’s social media outlets. He works closely with the Creative Director to create short and long-form content that aligns with the Fair’s mission statement, while simultaneously providing fun and engaging content for fairgoers. “Being able to consistently roam around the fairgrounds to record the best moments of the Fair is always a fun experience. I’m always finding something new to do, and there is never a dull moment,” said Ramirez. “Seeing memories being made by our fairgoers in person is rewarding, as you can never really capture their full emotion with just a camera.” Check out a few of Emmanuel’s favorite productions below!
