Buildings open at 10 a.m.

1. Midway

   The sights, sounds and smells of the State Fair of Texas Midway after dark will stick with you for a lifetime. More than 70 rides light up the Fair with vibrant, moving colors. Joyous laughs and heart-pumping screams fill the evening air joining the faint sound of a Texas breeze. Fried food, popcorn, cotton candy and funnel cakes create a mouth-watering aroma as large stuffed-animals, excited children and happy couples all make their way through this “place to be” on a Texas fall night. Be sure you stop by and take it all in!

2. Children’s Health Barnyard

   Presented by Children’s Health.

   Get up close and personal with a variety of farm friends, from giraffes and zebras to pigs and goats. While you’re there, make sure and visit the nursery where sows, ewes, nanny goats and their young are on display. Fun for the whole family, this petting zoo allows fairgoers to interact with all their furry friends, and even get the chance to feed them! Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. near the Pan-American Arena.

3. State Fair Beer Fest

   New for 2015.Celebrate Texas’ recent craft brew craze at the all-new State Fair Beer Fest! The new event, located on the field of historic Cotton Bowl Stadium, showcases breweries and their custom drafts from across the Lone Star state.  Access to the Beer Fest is included in Fair admission. Samples are an additional cost for visitors ages 21 and up.

4. State Fair Auto Show

   This event is the largest new car auto show in the Southwest, showcasing approximately 400 of the latest models from the world’s leading manufacturers. Bring your family and check out the hottest new rides, while also enjoying fun interactive exhibits and live entertainment. Whether you’re a diehard car fanatic or you just like to look around at the latest new models, this show is the ultimate destination for all things auto. Open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the Automobile and Centennial buildings, and in the Truck Zone.

5. Lights on the Lagoon

   Lighting provided by The Christmas Tree Lighting Co.

   Enjoy the final Saturday night of the 2015 State Fair by strolling along the newly lit Leonhardt Lagoon. This colorful display of beautiful light, landscape and nature provides a new magical experience every member of the family will enjoy.

6. Texas Lottery

   Come play the Games of Texas at the Texas Lottery Luck Zone!  With a $10 purchase you can spin the prize wheel to win free scratch-off tickets or a chance to go in the money machine.
   You can even win free prizes just by answering trivia questions or joining in on the fun with onstage contests. So stop by our Texas-sized tent today for a chance to win big!
