Youth Livestock Auction
Each year, approximately 2,500 4-H and FFA youth exhibitors from around the state compete for one of the coveted 256 spots in the Youth Livestock Auction. Those who qualify get to sell their animals for a pre-set premium price, with all excess proceeds donated to the State Fair of Texas Youth Scholarship Fund. Visit the Swine Barn this afternoon to see the auction happen live!

Children’s Health Barnyard
Presented by Children’s Health.
Get up close and personal with a variety of farm friends, from giraffes and zebras to pigs and goats. While you’re there, make sure and visit the nursery where sows, ewes, nanny goats and their young are on display. Fun for the whole family, this petting zoo allows fairgoers to interact with all their furry friends, and even get the chance to feed them! Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. near the Pan-American Arena.

Bud Light Sound Stage
Presented by Bud Light.
Centrally located in Cotton Bowl Plaza, the Bud Light Sound Stage is convenient to all your fair food favorites and features a wide variety of local and regional acts – all included with admission to the Fair. The 2015 lineup ranges from Tejano to classic country, with performances from the Tejas Brothers, Jennifer Nickerson and Ali Dee. Shows at 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m. in Cotton Bowl Plaza.

World on a String
Kids love this cast of marionettes produced by master puppeteer John Hardman. Running 25 minutes, this show features dancing boots, swimming fish, square dancers, skeletons, flamingos and more, all with a Texas theme! Shows at 12, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 p.m. in the Creative Arts building.

Magnolia Beer Garden
Presented by Texas Monthly.
A hidden gem at the State Fair of Texas, the Magnolia Beer Garden is the ideal destination for beer connoisseurs, as well as any fairgoers looking for a nice place to sit down and unwind. With a vast assortment of brews, there is something to please every taste! Patrons love this relaxing environment, located in the outdoor courtyard of the historic Magnolia Lounge, complete with a canopy of trees and a shaded balcony. Open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
