Canstruction Exhibit
Presented by Bank of America.
Using only cans of food, Canstruction participants are challenged to create innovative structures that will be displayed in a giant art exhibition throughout the 2015 State Fair. Canstruction is a unique charity that hosts competitions across the nation to showcase colossal canned masterpieces. All can constructions are created in line with this year’s State Fair theme, “Passport to Texas.” At the end of the competition, all canned food will be donated to the North Texas and Tarrant Area Food Banks. Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Science Building. -
Big Tex’s Farmyard
Presented by Farm Credit.
Old McDonald himself would be impressed by what’s happening over on Big Tex’s farm. With a brand new location this year, Big Tex’s Farmyard provides an educational experience through interactive exhibits as well as live animal displays, including calves, piglets and hatching chicks. Learn all about agriculture and its impact on the state of Texas, from the importance of farming and ranching to the process of raising and caring for animals. Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. near the Kids’ Boardwalk.

Wine Garden
Presented by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
Exclusively offering wines crafted in the Lone Star State, the Texas Wine Garden features three different wineries each day and offers guests the choice of buying a small taste, a glass or a bottle. Serving as a scenic destination for fairgoers, the venue is centered around a massive oak tree, filled with beautiful flowers and mood lighting. On weekends visitors can experience the musical talents of local jazz and blues bands. As a special treat, winemakers have been known to hang out and chat with fairgoers from time to time, sharing their expertise on refining the palate. Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

BMX Bike Show
Presented by OneMain Financial.
Big Time ActionSports provides an all-star team of stunt riders performing gravity-defying feats on multiple ramps. Fairgoers are just feet away from these daredevils as they flip and spin on BMX bikes and wow the crowd with awe-inspiring tricks. Shows at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. in Chevrolet Park Plaza.

Pig Races
Presented by Renewals by Andersen.
Here they come, snout-to-snout, down the stretch, back by popular demand! The Pan-Am Arena is home to the most-talked-about track in town; the pig races. Dressed in fetching racing silks, the wiggly piglets run the course three times a day. Don’t miss this fan favorite! Shows at 6, 6:45 and 7:45 p.m. in the Pan-American Arena.
