A Season Pass for the State Fair of Texas is more than just a ticket to the Fair, it offers you 24 days to create memories with friends and family. The staff of the Fair compiled a list of just a few of things you can do with your Season Pass this year.
#5 – Watch 24 Kroger Starlight Parades from 24 different locations on the grounds.
The nightly parade makes its way through the grounds each night beginning at 7:15 p.m. There are tons of great vantage point but a few of the best are:
- Along the Lagoon across from Cotton Bowl Plaza
- In front of the Band Shell
- At the Wine Garden
- While sitting on the steps of the Hall of State
- Big Tex Circle
#4 – Catch every headlining concert on the Chevrolet Main Stage.
With 24 days of music and 12 headliner concerts, the Chevrolet Main Stage has a little something for everyone. From country to gospel and pop to R&B, the stage features national and regional acts every night of the Fair. See the complete line up to find old favorites and discover Texas talent. https://bigtex.com/fun/mainstage/
#3 – Be there for every blue ribbon that is awarded in the Creative Arts Competition Kitchen.
A different contest is featured each day in the Competition Kitchen. From the main stays of the Fair like the cake and cookie contests to head-to-head cooking battles, the competition is fierce. But the best part of the competition is when the ribbons are awarded and the screams of joy can be heard throughout the building. Find the contest schedule HERE
#2 – Visit the livestock barns and see all the different competitions.
Livestock exhibitors from all over the great state of Texas converge at the Fair each year to show their projects. The first week of the Fair is our Youth Livestock Competition that culminates with the Auction on October 4th. But the competitions don’t stop there. We have competitions going on throughout the entire run of the State Fair. Be sure to take time and visit the barns to support the competitors of all ages who work so hard leading up to the Fair. Plus, you might even see a Mini Zebu in a costume.
#1 – 24 different “selfies” with Big Tex.
Why take just one picture with Big Tex when you can take a daily picture of Big Tex. It’s like having your very own Big Tex Picture of the Day for your social media! Big Tex will be more than willing to stand still for the photos.
