The Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction furthers the State Fair’s mission of promoting agriculture, education, and community involvement. Only with the support of community leaders, local businesses, participating exhibitors, individuals who organize the event, and donors/fundraisers is this event possible every year. At the 72nd Annual Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction, held on Friday, October 2, two new members were inducted into the Capital Circle. The Youth Livestock Auction Committee inducts committee members into the Capital Circle when they have raised $250,000 and/or donated $125,000. This year’s inductees were David Osborne of United Mechanical, and Pete Richardson of Primera Companies. Each inductee was recognized and presented with the unique Capital Circle insignia lapel pin.
For their efforts in supporting the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction, David Osborne of United Mechanical and Pete Richardson of Primera Companies will also enjoy a lifetime of VIP access to the Stemmons Lounge in the Briscoe Carpenter Livestock Center, where permanent recognition will also be displayed. These new inductees will reap the benefits of this award year in and year out, as they both will also receive Silver Committee Benefits. These benefits include two State Fair of Texas season passes, Livestock season parking, and 15 one-time State Fair of Texas admission tickets for their generous donations and fundraising efforts.
The State Fair of Texas our deepest thanks to David Osborne and Pete Richardson for their generosity and dedication to the State Fair of Texas and its mission. To find out more about agriculture and livestock programs at the Fair and how to get involved, please visit BigTex.com/Livestock.
