For those searching for vegetarian dishes, look no further than the Trio on the Green next to the Coliseum for their mouthwatering Beyond Meat Sliders. This vegetarian twist on a traditional slider allows you to savor the flavor without the meat. For more veggie options, you can find Fletcher’s Cheezy Pups at any of the seven Fletcher’s Corny Dog stands across fairgrounds. This snack features American cheese dipped in the Fletcher’s secret batter recipe.
For more handheld vegan food to enjoy, head on over to Sweet Connie’s Bar and Grill for a savory corn on the cob, just be sure to request no butter.
Popcorn and cotton candy are easy gluten-free go-to’s, and both are true Fair staples for your visit. If you’re looking for something heartier, Athnos Bayou Kitchen offers red beans and rice. Also located in the Tower Building, Hast Texas Nachos has a scrumptious pulled pork nachos. For those who want something healthier but not necessarily vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free, visit Highland Park Soda Fountain in the Tower Building offers their well-liked chicken salad, tuna salad, and a chef salad.
