The State Fair of Texas is bringing one of its most beloved traditions to a historic Fair Park venue, as the Chevrolet® Main Stage moves inside Fair Park Coliseum for the 2026 State Fair. The new location will offer fairgoers an indoor, concert-style experience while continuing to provide what guests have come to expect from the Main Stage: a diverse lineup of live music, all included with admission to the State Fair.
For decades, the Main Stage has welcomed legendary performers and rising stars alike, with artists including Selena, Elvis Presley, Destiny’s Child, and Garth Brooks among the many performers who have taken the stage in front of Fair audiences. Since adopting its official name as the Chevrolet Main Stage nearly 30 years ago, hundreds of local, regional, national, and international artists have performed for thousands of fairgoers, from artists in the early years of their careers to those embarking on farewell tours.
Now, the Main Stage is entering a new chapter inside one of Fair Park’s historic venues. The indoor setting will give guests a new way to experience live music throughout the 24-day State Fair, with performances spanning multiple genres and featuring artists for music fans of all ages. And, as always, Main Stage concerts remain FREE with admission to the State Fair, allowing guests to enjoy a Texas-sized lineup of live entertainment without the cost of an additional concert ticket. Seating for all concerts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Chevrolet is proud to be part of the next chapter of the Main Stage at the State Fair of Texas. Together, Chevrolet and the Fair share a commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests,” said Don Wagner, regional director for Chevrolet’s South Central region. “The Chevrolet Main Stage will bring people together to enjoy great entertainment, celebrate community, and make lasting memories. We’re excited that by continuing our partnership with the State Fair of Texas, we are enhancing one of its most iconic destinations and creating unforgettable moments for millions of visitors each year.”
The move also opens the door for new experiences in the Main Stage’s former location. Fairgoers can expect additional State Fair attractions and experiences to be announced in the coming weeks, adding even more to discover when the gates open for the 2026 State Fair on Friday, September 25.
“In our institution’s 140th year, The State Fair of Texas continually looks for ways to embrace innovation and change, while staying true to beloved traditions our fairgoers cherish and pass down for generations,” said Jason Hays, Senior Vice President of Brand Experience for the State Fair of Texas. “As a result of the Main Stage’s location change, guests can look forward to an all-new live music experience, with performances spanning multiple genres across all 24 days of the Fair.”
