Mattress Firm Illumination Sensation – Presented by Mattress Firm
Experience the nightly celebration – completely remastered! Set along a scenic reflecting pool, Mattress Firm Illumination Sensation wows the crowd with dancing waters and liquid fire. A unique and breathtaking event, the show combines fireworks and high-energy pop music with engaging performances from dancers and acrobats. This sensational 18-minute production of synchronized pyrotechnics and laser lights begins nightly at 8 p.m.
New in 2016 – Lone Star Stampede
Joining the Fair’s lineup is the Lone Star Stampede, an all-new show hosted in the Pan Am Arena. Guests can watch the tale of the American West come alive through this award-winning performance, featuring quintessential Western themes like stagecoaches, horses, cowboys and bandits. This can’t-miss event showcases traditional Native American dancers, sharpshooters and a Texas Longhorn cattle drive.
New in 2016 – Lords of Gravity Basketball Slam Dunk Show
The Lords of Gravity Basketball Slam Dunk Show joins the list as one of the Fair’s new daily shows for 2016. Hailing from Budapest, Hungary, the Lords of Gravity group has become one of the most well known acrobatic basketball teams in Europe. Each high-energy show brings jaw-dropping hoop skills and high-ﬂying acrobatics to the court. The talented troupe will be performing daily in Chevrolet Park Plaza.
New in 2016 – XPogo Extreme Sports
The action continues with Xpogo, another extreme sports show coming to the Fair this fall. Fairgoers can catch this action-packed performance daily, featuring two pogo professionals showing off their skills with gravity-defying tricks, flips and spins.
Wild West Pet Palooza – Presented by Kroger
The Wild West Pet Palooza, featuring Joel Slaven’s Professional Animals, includes an array of comical skits starring animals that have been rescued from shelters across the nation. Boasting an impressive cast of critters ranging from cats and dogs to pigs and porcupines, this show is full of family fun. Slaven and his staff of trainers have adopted hundreds of homeless pets and brought them back to star in shows all around the country.
Hedrick’s Pig Races
Here they come, snout-to-snout, down the stretch, back by popular demand! The Pan-Am Arena is home to the most-talked-about track in town; the pig races. Dressed in fetching racing silks, the wiggly piglets run the course three times a day.
ZuZu African Acrobats
Performing on the new Mattress Firm Stage along the Esplanade, the Zuzu African Acrobats take the limbo to a whole new level. From daring feats of balance to amazing acrobatics, the group draws cheers after each new trick.
Chainsaw Carver –Presented by Nitto Tire
Visit the Truck Zone Stage to watch Burt Fleming as he takes a blank section of timber and turns it into a work of art using his chainsaw. Owls, eagles, bears, alligators – Burt can find all these and more inside logs and pieces of wood. This chainsaw carver’s natural talent and quick wit are not to miss.
Majesty of the Horse
Join renowned horseman Jerry Diaz for an intimate presentation displaying the majesty and beauty of the horse. Located in the Ranch Arena next to the Children’s Health Barnyard.
He ain’t got no body! Don’t miss this hoot of a performance! The Barker entertains Midway crowds with his antics and jabs – all in good fun. A funny-bone tickler!
Nightly Starlight Parade
This nightly illuminated parade features spectacular floats, lively music, dazzling costumes and a fun assortment of characters. Every night of the Fair beginning at 7:15 p.m.
