Each day of the Fair, there are more than 110 free activities and shows that are included with admission. Here are a few suggestions to entertain your family at the Fair without spending a dime!
1. Introducing Home on the Range, the Fair’s new attraction located inside the Coliseum. Featuring the re-designed Little Hands on the Farm — a farm-to-market activity for little ones — as well as the Children’s Barnyard petting zoo, Home on the Range brings these two popular activities together in a themed, indoor location. You don’t want to miss this all-new experience.
2. Head out to the wild, Wild West Pet Palooza located in the Band Shell! Featuring Joel Slaven’s Professional Animals, this cast consists of rescue pets, but don’t let that fool you. This group is talented beyond belief, their show will leave you speechless. And giggling!
3. Don’t let the animal adventures end there. Be sure to stop by the Pan Am Arena over by the Creative Arts building for a Fair favorite —the Pig Races. While you’re there, check out the new All-Star Dog Stunt Show! Watch pigs run, run, run as fast as they can then stick around for captivating canine tricks!
4. If you are looking for a more laid-back spot, head across the lagoon to the Kids’ Boardwalk. This kid-friendly area offers arts and crafts, fun activities, puppet shows, and is also right next to the Big Tex Farmyard!
