With the 2023 State Fair of Texas just days away, Big Tex wants to share his tips and tricks on an effortless and stress-free arrival to the Most Texan Place on Earth. By utilizing the DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) Rail System, carpooling, or ridesharing services, such as Uber or Lyft, fairgoers not only have the option to save time, but to save money!
DART Rail System
The DART Rail System offers many routes to Fair Park Station, including the Orange, Blue, Red, and Green Lines. The Green Line will also offer transit to and from downtown Dallas every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. While DART is fast and convenient, the DART Pass app provides even greater savings, such as $5 off your State Fair admission ticket, Monday through Friday, and $7 off Saturday and Sunday, using the code 23DART. Learn more about DART’s routes and how to get to the State Fair by checking out their website here!
Carpooling and Parking
Carpooling is a great opportunity to ride with your friends and family. The State Fair of Texas offers hundreds of parking spots conveniently located at every gate. Be sure to take exit 48A and look for signs for State Fair Official parking lots. General Fair parking begins at only $20, and premium parking is available on a first come, first served basis for $40. Premium parking is available at Gates 2, 5, 6, and 8.
Getting to the Fair is faster and easier than ever with our designated rideshare drop-off and pick-up area. While ridesharing services can be called to all gates, we recommended calling them to Haskell at 4206 Gurley Ave. Dallas, TX 75223, to make your rideshare experience smooth and effortless. Check out the map here.
