Calling all early risers! The State Fair of Texas has your breakfast run covered. Before you head to the Midway for games and the fan-favorite Texas Star, or the more than 100 free daily activities and attractions around Fair Park, enjoy warm breakfast items or coffee-style beverages from 20+ vendors to start your day. So, for all our early birds, get ready to make the most of opening time! Here are some of the breakfast-like foods to start your morning:
Shugr’s Cinnamon Rolls: With flavors like their OG Handmade Cinnamon Roll, Dubai Cinnamon Roll, and their Elevated Cinnamon Roll, which can be topped with Strawberries & Cream, Cookies & Cream, and more, Shugr’s has flavors for every cinnamon roll lover! Shugr’s menu also features mini donuts and hot and iced coffee. Be sure to stop by in the Tower Building!
Crepes and Co: Everyone loves a good crepe, and Crepes and Co are here to deliver! Five crepe flavors are available, including their Smoky Bird Crepe loaded with smoked chicken, the Texas Crepe filled with smoked brisket, a Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe with cream cheese and fresh strawberries, a Matcha Kiwi Crepe with toasted coconut flakes, and their new Fettuccine Nutella Crepe topped with whipped cream. Crepes and Co is located in the Tower Building.
Johnson’s: Johnson’s takes a new approach to the southern breakfast classic, with Shrimp & Grits Balls. These bites are a deep-fried mix of shrimp and grits, which are then encased in a delicious, crusted batter. Don’t miss these delights on Grand Avenue and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
Milton’s Funnel Cakes: Forget the bowl and grab a straw — the creamy Corn Flake Shappé blends toasted corn flakes into a rich creation with silky dulce de leche, buttery Texas pecan notes, and a signature blend of warm spices. Finished with whipped cream, golden corn flake crunch, sweet strawberry crumble, and a dusting of powdered sugar, this creamy-and-crunchy sip is ready to cereal-ously two-step its way into your favorites. Find it at Milton’s Funnel Cakes in the Tower Building, Milton’s Turkey Legs & Funnel Cakes at the Front Gate, or Milton’s Street Corn-on-the-Cob on Grand Avenue.
Belgian Waffles: Craving a waffle? We’ve got you covered, from Belgian Waffles and Chicken & Waffles Sliders to Chocolate Waffle Balls and a cup of coffee to top off this breakfast meal! Be sure to stop by the Belgian Waffles stand on Grand Avenue.
Sandoitchi: The State Fair of Texas is here for all of your matcha needs! Sandoitchi in the Tower Building has a fried matcha, yes, fried matcha! More menu items include horchata matcha, matcha parfait, matcha milkshake, as well as strawberry and blueberry matcha lattes!
