CELEBRITY CHEF SCHEDULECreative Arts Competition Kitchen
Whether they’re sampling cookies, baking pizzas, or cranking ice cream, the competition is always hot in the State Fair of Texas Competition Kitchen. Each day of the Fair brings a new contest or cook-off to the Fair’s culinary stadium with prized ribbons on the line. Visit the Competition Kitchen to see who will take home the rare, but coveted purple ribbon for “best of show.”
Butter Sculpture
It might be the most creative thing you see during your visit to the State Fair! Each year, a local sculptor uses butter as their medium to create a refrigerated display depicting the Fair’s current theme. This thousand pound-plus work of art is a quintessential part of your trip to the Creative Arts building.
Creative Arts Contest-Winning Entries Exhibit
For decades, thousands of Texans have competed in the State Fair’s Creative Arts contests focused on arts, crafts, and food. Entries lucky enough to be awarded a renown State Fair ribbon also have the joy of being on display for the more than 2 million visitors of the exposition to see.
