New to the State Fair of Texas: an area just for kids with free activities and lots of fun!
Buford Buzzard’s calls the Kids’ Boardwalk his new home.
Located on the West side of the Leonhardt Lagoon, this colorful new addition features a variety of kid-friendly shows, games and activities, all free with State Fair of Texas admission.
The Ronald McDonald® Show and Buford Buzzard are returning acts that will now be a part of the Kids’ Boardwalk. In line with his wonderfully wacky personality, Ronald McDonald puts on a comical show the whole family can enjoy, filled with magic, juggling, jokes and music. A few lucky fans will be chosen from the audience and get the chance to join Ronald on stage as guest stars. A puppet with an attitude, Buford Buzzard adds a hint of satire to the mix, but his witty banter and smart remarks are all in good fun.
Joining us for the first time this year, the State Fair Stallions offer a unique and expressive form of live entertainment, celebrating their history through a dramatic and musical performance.
The State Fair is please to announce renowned chalk artist Juan Aguirre will be illustrating State Fair themed illustrations around the Kids’ Boardwalk. Be on the lookout for Big Tex, a 3-D roller coaster, and other amazing pieces.
Kiddos can get creative with engaging activities like Pumpkin Painting, where they are free to create their own mini-masterpiece, using stencils or painting freehand.
Other features include Big Tex temporary tattoos, fishing demonstrations, face painting, photo opportunities and chalk art.
The Kids’ Boardwalk is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Presented by McDonald’s and Time Warner Cable.
