Planning to attend the Fair Park 80th Anniversary Celebration next month? So are we.
From Wednesday, June 8 through Saturday, June 11, 2016, Fair Park will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Centennial Exposition with a four-day festival. Fun and engaging activities are planned in order for the entire family to commemorate one of the city’s greatest treasures and historic landmarks. Open to the public, the event will highlight the past, present and future of Fair Park.
Activities during the 4 day celebration include:
- June 8th: A concert performance from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at Fair Park’s Court of Honor
- June 9th: A wine stroll throughout the park
- June 10th: Jazz and Blues Concert from the African American Museum
- June 11th: Featured performances from Brave Combo, Quebe Sisters and The Mavericks
- Kids’ Activities
- Fireworks
- June 8-11 Speakeasy party … and more!

An added bonus to all the excitement? The State Fair of Texas is set to participate in the celebration by opening up the Midway to all who visit on June 10th & 11th. In the spirit of the 80th anniversary, for the first time ever, The State Fair is offering up a duo of Midway favorites free of charge on select days during the celebration.
Ride The Texas Star Ferris Wheel and Top o’ Texas Tower for free!
Also, be sure to snap a selfie or group picture with Little Big Tex who will be roaming the Midway amidst the fun!
Hours of operation for the event and featured Midway attractions during the weekend are Friday, June 10, 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 11, 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
