The delicious pumpkin flavored candy mixed with tasty Texas pecans, it’s bound to be a treat you will just have to eat!
- 2 cups C&H golden brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 16 large marshmallows
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup pumpkin purée
- 2 cups roasted pecan pieces
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
In large saucepan, cook sugar, butter, marshmallows and evaporated milk over medium heat, stirring constantly until melted. Stir in pumpkin purée and pecans. Continue cooking to soft-ball stage, 236° on candy thermometer. This stage is reached pretty quickly after stirring in pecans so carefully watch the temperature. Remove from heat and add vanilla and pumpkin pie spice. Beat until thickened (1 to 2 minutes). Drop by spoonful on parchment paper. Let pralines cool and wet. Wrap individually in plastic wrap and store in airtight container.
