Big Tex is turning 70 this year and we’re having a TEXAS-SIZED party! Join us on Tuesday, October 4 for a day of celebration in honor of our favorite cowboy’s special day. Below is the full schedule of special activities only available on October 4, 2022:
KROGER OFFICIAL BIRTHDAY CAKE
Location & Time: Big Tex Circle at 10:30 a.m.
Join Kroger and the State Fair of Texas as we cut a BIG Tex-sized cake to celebrate a BIG birthday.
DR PEPPER® & BLUE BELL® BIRTHDAY FLOAT TOAST
Location & Time: GO TEXAN Pavilion at 12:30 p.m.
The birthday celebration continues with a truly Texan toast – Dr Pepper and Blue Bell float. Floats will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
CUTCO CELEBRITY CHEF BIRTHDAY DEMO
Location & Time: Creative Arts Building at 2:30 p.m.
Chef j.Black from Chef’s Knife Catering has created a special recipe for Big Tex’s birthday that he will share. Be sure to stay for the samples!
BIG TEX BIRTHDAY SING-ALONG FEATURING COFFEY ANDERSON
Location & Time: Big Tex Circle at 5:30 p.m.
Join Chevrolet, the State Fair of Texas, and Coffey Anderson to wish Big Tex a happy 70th!
CHEVROLET COOKIE HAPPY HOUR
Location & Time: Chevrolet Ride & Drive from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Chevrolet will be hosting a special birthday celebration at the Chevy Ride & Drive. Stop by for a special treat.
DISCOUNTED MIDWAY RIDES
Location & Time: Midway from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Adding to the celebration, most of the rides on the Midway will be half-price all day!
