Dallas Police Department
The Dallas Police Department Mounted Unit is housed in the Pan Am Barn at Fair Park year-round. In addition to their equine partners, Dallas Police officers also perform demonstrations with their canine companions. During presentations, officers demonstrate techniques and training methods used for their animal counterparts, as well as answer any questions you might have. Demonstrations are held in the Ranch Arena.

Milking Demos – Presented by Southwest Dairy Museum
Cows from nearby farms are brought to the State Fair for an entertaining and educational exhibit of modern milking procedures. Be sure to stop by for this unique demonstration!

Livestock Guided Tours
Want to get up close and personal with State Fair livestock? Take a tour of their living quarters and have all your questions answered by resident student experts!
Daily tours take place every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., departing from Ag-Power Plaza.
Local equine experts bring in a variety of horse breeds and provide educational demonstrations, showing their equestrian knowledge and skills. Fairgoers can view these majestic creatures in the Ranch Arena, on weekends at 1, 2, 3 and 5 p.m.
