Kids’ Boardwalk
Presented by McDonalds.
Free and just for kids, the State Fair of Texas Kids’ Boardwalk is where fun lives! Kid-friendly acts like Ronald McDonald and Buford Buzzard join new additions such as an interactive magic show and a tiny cowboy puppet, along with games, crafts and face painting. Make sure you stop in and get your temporary Big Tex tattoo! This outdoor area is located near the Leonhardt Lagoon, conveniently close to the Wild West Pet Palooza and Big Tex’s Farmyard – two other family favorites. Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Pow Wow
The State Fair of Texas is thrilled to partner with the United Tribes of Texas to present a new addition to the 2015 lineup. This special event includes demonstrations of both traditional and contemporary Native American culture through music, dance, art and more. Members of several different Native American nations are in attendance, representing the unique traditions that are specific to their group, including performances from dancers dressed in full regalia. An expansive celebration of genuine Native American customs, this event is both educational and engaging for the whole family! Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Marine Corps Square.

It’s a Fair Deal
In partnership with the North Texas Food Bank, Kroger and NBC.
In partnership with Kroger and the North Texas Food Bank, the Fair offers discounted admission every Wednesday throughout the duration of the event. Bring four cans of food and get in for just $4, with all donations going directly to support local families in need. The Fair invites you to show your support and participate in this community initiative – don’t miss out on this steal of a deal!

Dr Pepper Stage
Presented by Dr Pepper.
On Nimitz Drive beside the Creative Arts building you will find the Dr Pepper Stage, offering an eclectic mix of musical talent and a quaint grassy area to relax with your friends and family. With several new additions to the 2015 lineup, the Dr Pepper Stage plays host to the Killdares, Chubby Carrier, Coffey Anderson and the Light Crust Dough Boys. Shows at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. across from the Pan-American Arena.

Midway
The sights, sounds and smells of the State Fair of Texas Midway after dark will stick with you for a lifetime. More than 70 rides light up the Fair with vibrant, moving colors. Joyous laughs and heart-pumping screams fill the evening air joining the faint sound of a Texas breeze. Fried food, popcorn, cotton candy and funnel cakes create a mouth-watering aroma as large stuffed-animals, excited children and happy couples all make their way through this “place to be” on a Texas fall night. Be sure you stop by and take it all in!
