Buildings open at 10 a.m.

1. BMX Bike Show

   Presented by OneMain Financial.
   Big Time ActionSports provides an all-star team of stunt riders performing gravity-defying feats on multiple ramps. Fairgoers are just feet away from these daredevils as they flip and spin on BMX bikes and wow the crowd with awe-inspiring tricks. Shows at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. in Chevrolet Park Plaza.

2. Chevrolet Main Stage

   Presented by Chevrolet.

   With live music as one of its cornerstones, the State Fair of Texas presents 24 days of free concerts on the Chevrolet Main Stage, featuring a variety of musical acts across all genres. The stage showcases national and regional talent of all types, with all performances included in the price of admission. The Chevrolet Main Stage is an outdoor venue with a huge, festival-style stage and an ADA-compliant area for guests needing special assistance.  Tonight, see national recording artist Lecrae on the Main Stage at 8:30.

3. Milking Demo

   Cows from nearby farms are brought to the State Fair for an entertaining and educational exhibit of modern milking procedures. Be sure to stop by for this unique demonstration!

4. Mattress Firm Illumination Sensation

   Presented by Mattress Firm.

   Experience the nightly celebration – completely remastered! Set along a scenic reflecting pool, Mattress Firm Illumination Sensation wows the crowd with dancing waters and liquid fire. A unique and breathtaking event, the show combines fireworks and high-energy pop music with engaging performances from dancers and acrobats. This sensational 18-minute production of synchronized pyrotechnics and laser lights begins nightly at 8 p.m. Show up early to stake out the best vantage points along the Esplanade!

5. Classic Coral

   For those of you with an appreciation for the classics, check out the Classic Corral – featuring different collections of vintage automobiles every weekend as well as select weekdays. From T- Birds and Model A’s to Jaguars and Corvettes, this exhibit will leave you with a feeling of nostalgia. Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. across from the African American Museum.
