Celebrity Chef Kitchen
Presented by Cutco.
For those of you looking for a true culinary experience, the State Fair recommends attending one of its daily Celebrity Chef demos, where popular chefs from some of Texas’ most prominent restaurants show off their skills in the Creative Arts Building. Chefs prepare a signature dish, share tips and answer audience questions, also giving audience members a chance to sample their culinary creations at the end of each demonstration. With four to five demonstrations from different chefs every day, fairgoers get to explore the diverse culinary establishments available in our local landscape. Ronald McDonald Show
Presented by McDonalds
In line with his wonderfully wacky personality, Ronald McDonald puts on a comical show the whole family can enjoy, filled with magic, juggling, jokes and music. A few lucky fans will be chosen from the audience and get the chance to join Ronald on stage as guest stars. Shows at 11:30 a.m., 1:30, 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. at the Kids’ Boardwalk.

Visit Big Tex
As the official State Fair icon, and a Texas icon himself, Big Tex welcomes the annual crowd of fairgoers with a friendly wave and a hearty, “Howdy, Folks!” Making his first Fair debut in 1952, Big Tex has since become a household name and a time-honored tradition. Year after year millions of visitors come from far and wide to experience the State Fair, holding a special place in their hearts for its beloved icon, Big Tex. Representing a place where families create lifelong memories, Big Tex embodies every aspect of Texas culture, from the spirit of tradition to the sense of community.

Truck Zone Stage
Truck Zone Stage presented by Nitto Tire.
New in 2015! Visit the Truck Zone Stage to watch Burt Fleming as he takes a blank section of timber and turns it into a work of art using his chainsaw. Owls, eagles, bears, alligators – Burt can find all these and more inside logs and pieces of wood. This chainsaw carver’s natural talent and quick wit are not to miss.

Food and Fiber Pavilion
Known to fairgoers as the ultimate food destination for all things Texan, the Food & Fiber Pavilion is a daily showcase of Lone Star cuisine. Presented by the Texas Department of Agriculture, the Food & Fiber Pavilion offers 25,000 square feet of space which houses dozens of exhibitors on a daily basis. Features include a range of exhibitors such as Texas honey and live bees, Texas toffee sampling, Kitchen Craft cooking demos, and much, much more! Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Food & Fiber building.
