Buildings open at 10 a.m.

1. Red, White & You!

   Presented by Coca-Cola.

   Nestled in the heart of the Midway, the Coca-Cola Stage is perfect for staking out a spot at the picnic benches and relaxing in the shade while you enjoy a family-friendly musical performance. Returning for another year of crowd-pleasing performances, “Red, White & You!” puts a contemporary spin on American pop classics in their retro musical flashback. Shows at 12, 1, 3, 4 and 5 p.m.

2. BMX Bike Show

   Presented by OneMain Financial.

   Big Time ActionSports provides an all-star team of stunt riders performing gravity-defying feats on multiple ramps. Fairgoers are just feet away from these daredevils as they flip and spin on BMX bikes and wow the crowd with awe-inspiring tricks. Shows at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. in Chevrolet Park Plaza.

3. Starlight Parade

   This after-dark extravaganza is a fan-favorite, featuring a colorful assortment of illuminated floats, life-size puppets, stilt-walking performers and animated characters in ornate costumes. The bold and bright procession glides through the park nightly at 7:15 p.m. Don’t leave the Fair without seeing this amazing spectacle!

4. Chevrolet Ride and Drive

   Drivers, start your engines! Chevrolet, the official vehicle of the State Fair of Texas, gives qualified drivers the chance to get behind the wheel of the most anticipated vehicles of the 2016 line up. Embrace your need for speed and head on over to Chevrolet Park Plaza to test drive the newest makes and models! Open 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

5. Creative Arts Contests

   Whether you’re new to the crafting world or you consider yourself a creative arts veteran, the State Fair offers a wide variety of contests for participants on both ends of the spectrum. From jewelry making to pickle canning, pie baking to holiday decorating, and leather crafting to printmaking, the Creative Arts Department has something for the inner artist in you. A quintessential element of the Fair, the Creative Arts Building serves as a showcase for all the winning entries in each of the various competitions, as well as the location for daily contests throughout the run of the Fair. Creative Arts building open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

6. Texas Lottery

   Come play the Games of Texas at the Texas Lottery Luck Zone!  With a $10 purchase you can spin the prize wheel to win free scratch-off tickets or a chance to go in the money machine.
