Just a few days before the Fair, the Big Tex Barn Dance Social will be a celebration with beer and wine, Fair snacks, and you guessed it – dancing! All proceeds go to the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and the Big Tex Scholarship Program.

The Dance Floor Is Calling
No barn dance would be complete without some country music so get ready to two-step to the toe tapping sounds of Eleven Hundred Springs, a country music band from Dallas. Make sure to arrive early to enjoy our opening musical act, Frankie Leonie, a singer-songwriter out of Denton, Texas. This musical experience will be the highlight of the night and will be a show you won’t find anywhere else.
Not Your Average Barn
A barn dance wouldn’t be complete without a proper barn, but at the State Fair of Texas, we do everything big. For this reason, we’re transforming our historic Livestock Judging Pavilion into a barn fit for partying. A traditional dirt dance floor under the glow of string lights will welcome you to dance and mingle, while hay “couches” line the room to offer a break between songs. Getting to the Livestock Judging Pavilion is easy and parking is free.Directions and Parking Map
