What-A-Melon Punch
Created by Elizabeth Prince of Dallas, TX
2nd Place — Party Foods
Ingredients:
- 1 seedless watermelon
- Sugar
- Lemonade
- Jalapenos
- Lime juice
Directions:
Cut watermelon into slices that will fir in a blender. Puree watermelon until completely liquid. Strain watermelon juice to remove pulp. Chill juice while preparing rest of recipe. For every 2 cups of watermelon juice, use one cup lemonade and 1 tablespoon lime juice. Add sugar to taste if necessary. Carefully cut slits into jalapeño so that juice can seep into your drink. Add lemonade and lime mixture to watermelon juice and use jalapeno as a stirrer. Replacing jalapeno with blackberries and raspberries makes a great treat for kids, and using cucumber and mint makes a refreshing treat for adults.
