Talented troupe of canines take center stage in TXU Energy Arena
The dog days of summer will last into the fall with the exciting canine performances planned for the 2008 State Fair of Texas (September 26-October 19).
It’s Hot Diggity Dogs! and there will be plenty of hot dogging in the TXU Energy Arena. Each day begins with Lou Mack and his Top Flight K-9s. Mack is a two-time World Champion Frisbee Dog Trainer. His canine flight crew will astonish fairgoers with their fast-flying feet, gravity-defying leaps and amazing displays of balance -- all performed with waggin’ tails and barks of excitement. This pack of energetic pups travels the country to show off their skills, so expect a cornucopia of canine fun. Show times are 11:30 a.m., 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
The sizzle will continue as dog trainer Pam Martin shows that her four-legged friends can cut a rug in her Dancing with the Dogs show. Ms. Martin, owner of Top Dog Obedience School in Garland, and her trainers will perform choreographed dance numbers with their pups. In matching costumes, the dogs and their owners will trip the light fantastic. Fairgoers might find themselves toe-tapping along. The dancing canines take center stage at 3, 4 and 5 p.m.
